That one lady who married me told me her brakes didn’t feel right last night. I am a lousy fleet manager for letting it get this bad.

The rotors okay?

Smooth and unwarped thankfully.

Eh, there’s still material there. It’s when you get steel on steel that you need to feel bad.

looks like just about perfect timing there

Ooohh. Not much left there. Good catch.

Good, I ran a piston straight into a rotor a while back, that was an expensive mess.

These have been selfies the whole time?!?!

Correct. There never was an adopted puppy to begin with.

You caught your lady’s brakes before I caught mine. Mrs. Shoe Pilot once complained that her brakes were making a funny noise and I told her it was probably normal but I’d look.
The pad material was GONE and the rotors were starting to get scraped up. So, I made a trip to the parts store and replaced everything.

My wife didn’t say anything until they were grinding. New pads, new rotors, in the rain.
This was the second brake job in just as many weekends. The weekend before was helping a friend. Again, in the rain.

You certainly got your money’s worth on those pads.
Years ago, I had to replace EVERYTHING on my Tercel. Took me days to get rotors off of a rusted wagon with 325k miles on it, in the winter and also outside :/

Had the same deal a short while back .

So thankful that the brakes on mine are new.

Good news is all the parts were super cheap. God help you if your blower motor goes out though.

Can you do your own resurfacing? No shop near me would except an Acura dealership that outsources to someone I couldn't ever figure out who.

Oreillys does them but for like 15-20 bucks. But some rotors cost only 20-25 so if I fuck them up in just buy new ones instead.

That sounds like no risk except learning and bettering yourself at the craft then. I'll have to give an O Reilys over state lines a call.

I found one of those on the side of the road once.

Maybe a setup similar to that guy’s awesome LS swapped 240 drift car with hand controls.

They’d have to adjust it for the limited range of motion his t-rex sized arms allow.

Or he’s managed to make something that will make any car, even a manual everything 80's toyota a self driving car.
